Science, gene expression and skincare

Science, gene expression and skincare

Just back from a beautiful trip to Utah where I attended an anti-aging convention.  I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Joseph Chang, PhD., and author of The Aging Myth

He explains that most often, looking young is attributed to people having good genes, but if it’s all in the genes then aging is inevitable and you can’t do anything to change it. That answer has never been acceptable to Jo, so his team delved deeply into the molecular mechanisms of aging and learned that something can be done about aging at the genetic level.

He explains it is not about changing the genes, it’s about influencing gene expression. Your genes are fixed and cannot be altered. But when it comes to looking and feeling younger than your age, what scientists have discovered is that it’s not about altering the genes, but about something called youthful gene expression. Gene expression is how our genes talk to our cells and tell what it is going to be. Aging is not in the genes; aging is in the gene expression.

So, all you need to know is how to keep your genes expressing themselves in a more youthful pattern!

Dr. Chang is the scientist behind the proprietary blend called AgeLoc that turns the gene expression up or down as it targets all of the 372 aging genes. AgeLoc can address the gene expression in two ways; internally (Vitality) and externally.

I have taken ageLoc Vitality with my breakfast daily and I do infuse the ageLoc face gels with my Galvanic twice a week and can definitely tell a difference in the way I feel and the way my skin looks.
