What’s in my skincare bag?

What’s in my skincare bag?

With over a month of non-stop travels in Europe during summertime, visiting four different countries, staying in more places then I counted, and with multiple events and occasions to pack for, it wasn’t easy to decide what to bring.

Although I love the idea of simple living and down- sizing, my biggest challenge is always deciding on skincare and beauty products, and my normal, daily and often extensive routine had to be down sized significantly.

I managed to get by and although I ran out of some of my favorite staple products, skin is doing ok because I decided to substitute with local, high quality Portuguese olive oil the last week of our visit, and my skin loved it!

I often chose travel sizes if available and travel friendly packaging was considered when making the decision what to bring too.

Here are my travel must haves that saved my skin:

Loved wearing minimal and next to nothing “good for your skin” makeup:

I’m now excited to be back home and to re-discover all the goodies left behind in my beauty cabinet and to get back into a solid skincare routine for a while again!

Last month recap!

In addition to meeting up with family and friends in Sweden this years travels has been about discoveries that opens new parts of myself, both personally and professionally. Seeking out beautiful places, searching for “the best” climate, spa experiences and fun, friendly people. We visited so many amazing, coastal places in Ireland, Sweden, Portugal and Netherlands. My husbands passion for cooking brought us to local food places with authentic and unique dishes, and my love for wellness and skincare had me seeking out spas, testing out skincare products and treatments authentic to each area.

Conclusion; End of summer was perfect time of year to leave a hot Texas behind. And summertime in Europe truly create spa like feelings itself with natures own natural beauty that is hard to recreate. Refreshing cooling swims in the ocean, relaxing in beautiful public parks, grounding walks in majestic forests, visits family and friends, fresh picked fruit and berries, seafood and light meals. We were clocking in thousands of more steps daily than usual but never felt exhausted, just curious, grateful for the opportunity and very thankful for every experience and encounter. We left with heavier suitcases but lighter minds.

I was keeping a journal of my experiences and brought back only the best ideas and inspiration to share with our staff and our clients. 💖
