Last weekend we had friends visiting us at the beach, with lots of time boating, swimming, entertaining, and just enjoying the outdoors. In spite of all efforts I got a little to much sun exposure. When that happens it is good to know what to do. I recently read a wonderful blog post from my friend Charlene Florian that is full of helpfull solutions and facts I like to share.
If you have Aloe Vera plants in your garden or at your house, look for the most mature Aloe Vera plant to ensure medicinal benefits, break a leaf open and apply the gel directly to the skin. It supplies oxygen to the skin cells, which in turn increases the strength and synthesis of skin tissue – rejuvenating the skin, hydrating it and increasing flexibility.
If you don’t have an aloe plant at home, here are 4 alternative steps to soothe sunburned skin:
PS. Mixing Aloe Vera juice in your smoothie will enhance physical endurance and stamina and it is also great to soothe the digestive system.
