Here at Skincare Butik, our mission is to encourage and support each individual’s journey towards total wellness. We strive to educate our community on the four pillars of overall well-being that make up our core philosophy: maintaining a nutritious diet, exercising regularly, practicing mindfulness, and of course, implementing a skincare routine. Through the broad range of services that we offer to our clients at Skincare Butik, we constantly advocate for the idea that inner health is key to achieving outer beauty.

These values, in combination with a love for our local community, inspired the idea behind Skincare with a Cause. This initiative was first implemented as a response to Hurricane Harvey in 2017, but this year, we want to give back to those serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic; our community’s courageous healthcare workers. Every day, they face emotional and physical trials that are unimaginable, all for the sake of our community’s health and well-being.

Skincare Butik will be providing a free Express House Facial (a 25-minute treatment/ $125 value) to our front-line medical heroes.

To show our appreciation and gratitude for their amazing efforts, Skincare Butik will be providing a free Express House Facial (a 25-minute treatment/ $125 value) to our front-line medical heroes. In total, we’re donating 80 experience gifts worth a grand sum of $10,000. Each experience gift will also include either one of two samples; an Eminence Organics Cucumber Eye Gel for alleviating swollen and tired eyes, or a Mangosteen Gel Moisturizer for soothing irritated skin.

As facial masks have become a necessary protective measure against COVID-19,it’s evident that many of us are experiencing increased skin irritations. This often includes redness, swelling, and overall compromised skin. For these concerns, we recommend the use of calming, soothing, and restorative products that are clinically proven to help restore the skin barrier and promote overall skin health.

We know our healthcare workers have busy, hectic schedules, so each of these gift experienceswill be redeemable within 5 months after they are received. If you are a healthcare worker and were unable to receive one of our experience gifts, we also offer free skin consultations, a customized home routine card, and a variety of free skincare samples.

These experience gifts will be fairly distributed during International Infection Prevention Week (the 3rd week of October each year) at Corpus Christi Medical Center (Bay Area and Doctor’s Regional Hospitals). They will recognize and reward staff members from different departments, including the efforts of the Environmental Services staff (housekeeping) who work tirelessly to disinfect these health care facilities. More than ever, this pandemic has highlighted the importance of Infection Preventionists (IPs) in keeping the world safe during times of major outbreak. In addition to all the usual suspects (healthcare-associated infections, the resurgence of measles outbreaks, flu season, etc,) the IP community will continue their fight against this pandemic for the foreseeable future.
